iFixit
“If you can’t fix it you don’t own it.” That is the battle cry of this team that is fighting for the rights of fixers everywhere. It keeps repairable devices, toys, electronics and tools out of land fills and in the hands of people who can use them. We are proud to tell their story.
My son Moses started an iPhone & Apple repair business when he was 14. He asked me to take a few photos for his web site & Kent Mast shot some video of Moses of doing a repair. Two years later Kelsea from iFixit reached out to Moses to do a podcast on young fixers. Kelsea and the team loved Moses’ site and asked if we could do some photos for them. A year later we began producing photo & video content for iFixit monthly. Kent & I work together to produce photo and video content for the iFixit team in California & their European team. They send us the tools and together we develop the repair scenarios that tell the story of how they are impacting the world.
For the past 5 years we have collaborated on a ton of different projects. We provide the photos, the videos, the talent, the locations & work together with their team to handle the creative direction. Though we have never met face to face we love working with Kelsea in San Luis Obispo and Johanna in Germany to tell the iFixit story.
